Michelle Roach

Michelle joined the Trust’s central team in May 2024 as Director of Finance, and is responsible for financial strategy, management and planning which ensures efficient and effective use LST’s financial resources to ensure it is sustainable to support the delivery LST’s Vision and Mission of extraordinary education.

Michelle began her finance career over twenty years ago and has extensive understanding and wide experience in financial and management accounts, including technical ability and experience in developing financial systems and improvements.

She qualified in 2007 and went on to complete a Masters in Applied Financial Management along with Post Graduate in Innovation and Improving Performance. During her career she has worked mainly in the Public Sector, including Government, health, and education which has included financially challenged organisations and being part of teams delivering financial turnaround to improve delivery, performance and outcomes.

Michelle lives in Newcastle with her family and enjoys going to the gym and holidays abroad.
