Rachel Parlett

Rachel, as Cross Trust Lead Practitioner for Mathematics, is responsible for raising achievement in Maths across all LST Academies.

Rachel has a degree in Maths and Psychology from Durham University and trained to be a teacher through Teach First in Sheffield. She has worked in schools for 14 years and also ran the Northumbria Maths Teach First programme for 3 years. She has extensive experience teaching A Level, using technology in the classroom, and delivering initial teacher training. She also marks for Edexcel and AQA.

"My main passion is teacher training, I came through Teach First and their goal is that everyone should be successful regardless of their background and this is something I strongly believe in."

Rachel joined LST in January 2024 and is mainly based in Academy 360, Sunderland.

In her spare time, she has her hands full with her 2 young children and enjoys going to the gym.
