Director of Secondary School Improvement

Gabrielle Reddington

Following her degree study at Durham University and a training year in Liverpool, Gabrielle started her teaching career in West Yorkshire in 1992 as a teacher of History.

Gabrielle quickly became interested in curriculum, assessment and special educational needs, following these areas up in her Master's degree at the University of Leeds and then further research and study at the University of Durham.

Family adventures brought Gabrielle back to her beloved North East in 1997 and she has never looked back. Following time in senior leadership in schools, she worked for the SSAT and then the Durham School Improvement and Development Service. She has been privileged to work with colleagues at village, County,  regional and national level across all phases in both mainstream and special education. Gabrielle is passionate about inclusion, opportunity  and the development of the teachers who make this happen.

Gabrielle is a School Governor and is involved in quality assurance with schools and Trusts across the North East and Yorkshire.
