Chris Lane

Chris joined the Trust's central team in May 2021 and is Head of Data, Systems and Specialised Projects; responsible for making sure we're using data safely and effectively across LST to support our students in achieving their full potential. 

He is an experienced school data professional and timetabler, with 20 years' experience in the education sector. During his career, he has led on various system implementations and migrations, managed a BSF IT managed service contract, worked as an integral part of senior leadership teams and used curriculum-led financial planning to drive curriculum and financial efficiencies. He has worked in schools in both challenging circumstances and demographic areas, and has been part of several teams that have helped improve schools from OFSTED 'Inadequate' and 'RI' judgements to securing positive inspection outcomes.

Outside of work, Chris is Chair of Governors at Springwell Village Primary School; has two football and cricket mad boys and loves nothing more than getting away for a weekend with the family in the campervan.
